The event’s comprehensive focus on women’s physical, mental, and emotional health through workshops, expert panels, and entertainment speaks volumes about the commitment to creating an empowering space. By addressing not only fitness and nutrition but also financial wellness, relationship dynamics, and career development, our goal is helping women thrive in all aspects of their lives. Dr. Raquel Guidry-Davis, LICSW-PIP, affectionately known as Dr. Roc, is a therapist, educator, author, and speaker who is passionate about empowering women to purposefully pursue and protect interpersonal peace. As an independently licensed clinical social worker and Certified PREPARE/ENRICH Facilitator with over 20 years of experience professionally listening and encouraging couples and individuals to the wholeness they seek, Dr. Guidry-Davis has dedicated herself to effectively integrating her faith and education to heal hurting people. She is currently in private practice in Mobile, AL where she counsels and coaches clients to thrive with courage, resilience, and character. Her research interests and academic peer-reviewed publications focus
on multicultural diversity and sensitivity in practice, the Strong Black Woman (SBW)
stereotypy, its multifaceted interpersonal dynamics, and the intersectionality of religiosity. She has also researched and published academically on the impact of pornography use on marital relationships and female mental health. Dr. Guidry-Davis is a native Houstonian who earned her B.S. in Psychology and Master of Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Houston. She holds a Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling, with a concentration in Marriage and Family, from Liberty University.

Sheri Holt is the visionary founder and managing member of Chrysalis Training and Development, LLC, a prestigious New York State-certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE). With an impressive career spanning nearly three decades in customer service, problem resolution, and program development, Sheri has consistently transformed her extensive expertise into innovative opportunities. She designs and facilitates development programs that significantly enhance both individual and organizational performance.

 

Sheri earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management, with a specialization in Human Resource Management. Her academic background, combined with her practical experience, positions her as a leading expert in her field.

A highly sought-after trainer, Sheri holds numerous certifications in the training and development industry and a specialized certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace. She has successfully coached and trained thousands of individuals in leadership, communication, relationship management, team building, DEI, and financial stewardship. Recently, Sheri has accepted the call to be a “VOICES OF BLACK WOMEN AMBASSADOR” on behalf of the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY.

 

As a dedicated wife of nearly 30 years and a mother to two adult sons, this Arkansas native brings a unique storytelling style to her training sessions. Her approach combines pedagogical methodology with lively interaction, ensuring that participants, employees, and
volunteers remain fully engaged and inspired.
